Six Word Stories

There is a phenomenon in the writing world; it is said to have started with Ernest Hemingway. As the story goes, someone challenged Hemingway to write a story in six words. He came up with this gem.

“For sale: baby shoes, never worn.”

(He has skill)

I came up with one of my own.

“Was it Murphy’s Law, or karma?”

(I have less skill)

This feature is now a challenge on youngwritersproject.org and I will be posting my favorites.

Post your own in the comments and I’ll share them with our writing community!
